Carmel Morina
for Sheriff

• Established the Sheriff’s Ten Most Wanted List in 2010, apprehending 173 fugitives and counting since
its creation
• Launched the Project Lifesaver Program to help those with Alzheimer’s Disease and autism
• Created the Senior Safety Community Outreach Program to protect senior citizens and educate them
about general safety, home security, auto theft, drug identification and awareness, phone and internet
safety, and the Project Lifesaver Bracelet Program

Joe Chila
for Surrogate

• As Freeholder Liaison to the Office of Veterans Affairs, works diligently to ensure veterans get the support
and services they deserve
• Worked to establish cost-saving shared services, including Gloucester County’s award-winning Emergency
Medical Services and 911 emergency dispatch
• Secured major upgrades to Gloucester County’s first responder communication system so that police,
fire, and ambulance have the tools necessary to protect the public’s safety

Robert Damminger
for Freeholder

• Spearheaded efforts to make government less expensive and more efficient by sharing services, including
the regionalization of jails which will save $250 million in tax dollars over the next twenty years
• Facilitated the groundbreaking agreement between Gloucester County College and Rowan University to
expand students’ opportunities for a high-quality education at a reduced cost
• Permanently preserved over 21,000 acres of farmland and open space while also securing millions of
dollars in federal and state funding to improve county roads, bridges, and infrastructure

James Lavender
for Freeholder

• As Superintendent of Kingsway Regional and South Harrison Schools, serves as a passionate and tireless
advocate for full and fair education funding
• As former Deputy Mayor of Woolwich Township, shared services to save millions in tax dollars; previously
served on Rowan College at Gloucester County Board of Trustees and Inspira Health Network Board
of Directors
• Honored with Citizens Award for Service by Rowan College at Gloucester County in 2018, Distinguished
Service Award by Kingsway Regional School District in 2017, Presidential Award for Leadership by
Wilmington University in 2006, and Middle School Teacher of the Year Award by VFW Post 2071 in 2002
